Why Use Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a natural, time-tested, and science-based medical intervention proven to be effective in the treatment of chronic pain for conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, migraines, and more.

In the hands of a well trained practitioner like Achieve AIM founder Dr. Rebecca Gibbons, Acupuncture has many broader applications beyond pain.

For example, Acupuncture has been shown to improve digestion and sleep disorders, quell anxiety and depression, balance reproductive and hormone function, and regulate biomarkers related to autoimmune diseases – even if the problem has been chronic.

Common Questions About Acupuncture

Am I A Candidate For Acupuncture ?

The medical literature shows acupuncture’s effect on nearly every biophysical system in the body. We’ve seen patients suffering from a wide variety of problems respond to acupuncture treatment when nothing else has worked. So, for most people, yes, acupuncture is something you should explore.

How Many Acupuncture Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments needed differs from person to person. For complex or long-standing conditions, there or four treatments a week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer visits are required, and for health maintenance, we recommend weekly or monthly tune ups.

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

No. It’s very comfortable. Most people end up taking a nap during their treatment and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Is Acupuncture Covered By Insurance?

We are out of network with all insurance companies and do not bill third party or private insurance directly. We can provide you with a super bill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. The good news is that you are the one in charge of what procedures you get, not an insurance company, and acupuncture treatment is very affordable.
